  • Math tutoring at the Phillipsburg Free Public library
    • Every Wednesday from 6-8. Tutor others in Alg. I, II, and Geometry
  • Teacher Appreciation Week
    • May 2nd to 6th
    • We are writing cards to teachers thanking them for what they have done
    • Every 3 cards completed gets you 1 service hr.
    • We are also giving them gifts like post-it notes, highlighters, and a box of supplies "for the new school"
    • You can donate breakfast items for the May 6th teachers' breakfast to receive hours.
    • Ask Angela Chan or another officer if you have questions
  • Committee chair applications due today Apr. 20th. New committee chairs will be announced at the banquet.
  • 2nd Annual Key Club Banquet
    • April 27th
    • Members with enough hours were mailed an invitation
    • We need people to bring drinks and snacks/desserts for 1 service hour.
    • Please let us know what you will bring if you sign up to bring something
    • Attire is business casual (no jeans, shorts, or T shirts)
  • PHS Comic Con May 14th
    • Do we want to setup a table? Do we have volunteers to run a table?
    • Give us some ideas for our table!
  • NORWESCAP Food Bank May 14th 3-6 pm
    • Help needed to unload food from trucks for the National Association of Letter Carriers' Food Drive
  • Freeman Elementary School Spring Fling, Wed. May 18th @ 4pm
    • They are looking for about 10 volunteers to help the kids with games and face painting
    • It's a half-day districtwide.
  • Book Sale preparation at Phillipsburg Library
    • Saturday April 23 from 11-2
    •  Help needed to move books from the basement to the community room
    • They also need help setting up on the 25th and 26th @ 3pm

  • Teacher appreciation Week is May 2nd-6th. 
    • Please help come up with ideas and execute them.
    • We will be writing letters and giving gifts to teachers throughout the week
    • You can donate breakfast items for the teachers' breakfast
  • Committee Chair Applications
    • Due April 20th
    • See Mr. Babbitt for an application, and hand in completed ones to Mr. Babbit or an officer
    • Committee Chairs will be announced at the Key Club Banquet
  • The 2nd Annual Key Club Recognition Banquet
    • April 27th 6pm-8pm in PHS Cafeteria 149
    • RSVP by April 15th
    • Full meal provided for invited members and their family.
    • Only those with enough service hours will receive an invitation.
    • If you think you have enough hours but didn't receive an invitation, contact Mr. Babbittor an officer
    • We need people to bring snacks and drinks, which will be rewarded with one service hour per item

    • We need people to help with activity tables and serving, as well as some food preparation.
  • As usual, the Math Matters tutoring session will take place today (Wednesday) from 6-8pm at the Phillipsburg Free Public Library

  • Scrapbook - Compilation of pictures to showcase our club's accomplishments throughout the service year, entered in a competition at District Convention. We need people to help design and compile our scrapbook. If you signed up for the Scrapbook Committee at the beginning of the year, you will receive text messages about meeting information soon. Historically, we have done extremely well in the DCON scrapbook competition, winning several first-place awards. If you have any questions about the scrapbook project, please contact Scrapbook Committee Chair Kendra Bayne ([email protected]).
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids' Sake - Coming up in April. Find a team of people to bowl with and raise money! We will have an online sign-up as soon as we receive more details about the event.
  • District Convention - Friday, April 1 to Sunday, April 3. Held at the Ocean Place Resort and Spa in Long Branch, New Jersey. Attendees participate in leadership workshops, attend award and recognition session, and compete in state-level competitions.

  • Every Wednesday - (6–8 pm) Math Matters tutoring at the Phillipsburg Free Public Library. Must have taken H Algebra I, H Algebra II, and/or H Geometry. Bring your own homework in case not enough people come to be tutored. Click here for more info. There is no need to wear your Key Club T-shirt.
  • Kiwanis Shoe Collection - Drop off slightly worn or unused shoes in the Ag Shop during homeroom for donation.
  • Club Elections - Held sometime in March (specific date will be announced soon). Offices include President, Vice-President, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary, Treasurer, Editor, and Webmaster. Candidates present a speech to the membership and members vote on each office. If you are not in attendance on election day, you cannot vote. Seniros are ineligible to vote; they will help collect ballots and count votes. See an officer for more information.
  • District Convention - Friday, April 1, to Sunday, April 3, in Long Branch, NJ. Members participate in leadership workshops, attend award and recognition session, and compete in state-level competitions. More details, include the cost of attending, will be announced soon.

  • Thursday, February 18 (5:45–7 pm) - ECLC Movie Night! Reminders were sent out to those who signed up— if you can no longer attend you must notify us immediately!
  • February 24 (2:15–3:30 pm, 6–7 pm) - Student volunteers are needed to ride a school bus to a local senior center who can help the senior citizens on and off the bus. Two shifts are needed: 2:15 pm to approximately 3:30 pm to pick up senior citizens at the senior center and bring them to PHS for the Green Street play, and 6 pm to approximately 7 pm to bring senior citizens back to the Care Center after the play. Permission slips are required and will be provided to those who sign up.

  • Mentoring Senior Citizens in Using Technology - A group of students is needed to work at Clymer Village educating senior citizens on basic uses of computers and other technologies. Sign up if you are interested. Date and time will be determined by the volunteer group.

  • Polar Express - It is most effective to sign up for 2 shifts at once. You may sign up for as many shifts as you want. We need 4-6 elves per shift. Please arrive half an hour early prior to your shift. The train leaves promptly at the hour with or without you. Elf costumes are provided but feel free to wear red and green shirts, socks, tights, etc. We have elf hats but you can bring your own if preferred. If you sign up, YOU MUST ATTEND. NO LAST-MINUTE CANCELLATIONS OR EXCUSES.
    • Saturday, December 19: 2–4 pm, 4–6 pm, and 6–8 pm
    • Sunday, December 20: 2–4 pm, 4–6 pm, and 6–8 pm
  • Thursday, December 17 - (5:45–7 pm) "A Winter's Tale" at the Early Childhood Learning Center.
  • Sunday, December 20 - Cookie Walk at Phillipsburg High School Cafeteria 149. We will need people to donate baked cookies! You may drop them off before 11 am on the day of the event. You will receive hours for baking or working the event. Customers pay $10 and receive an empty bag to fill with the cookies of their choice that were baked by Key Clubbers. MOney raised from this event helps support our end-of-the-year recognition banquet for members and their families.
